He also enjoyed working for many years at Bangor Auditorium during the high school basketball tournaments. Pete is survived by his wife, Jeanette (Crane) Martelle; his son, Richard Martelle, both of Hermon; two grandchildren, Elizabeth and Adam Martelle; mother-in-law, Marjorie Crane; sister-in-law and her husband, Margaret and Bill Ferris, all of Bucksport; brother-in-law and his wife, David Crane and Kathy of Lamoine; and three nieces, Jennie Bridges of Verona, Tracie Crane of Hancock and Kim Crane of Franklin. He leaves extended family, friends and loved ones. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Maj. George Wilson Martelle, U.S. Air Force. A memorial reception will be held 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, March 16, at the Family Reception of Brookings-Smith, 163 Center St., Bangor.
