20130206 - Brother Eugene Cefalo (ret.)

BANGOR - Eugene F. Cefalo, 76, died Feb. 6, 2013, at a Bangor health care facility. He was born Oct. 12, 1936, in Bangor, the son of Francis J. and Gladys M. (Whalen) Cefalo.

He was a graduate of Bangor High School. Eugene served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He married Nancy H. Blake in 1958. He was employed for many years with the Bangor Fire Department. Eugene enjoyed hunting, fishing and other outdoor activities as well as gun collecting.

He was predeceased by his parents; and a daughter, Karen Mary Cefalo. Surviving in addition to his wife, Nancy, is a son, Greg Cefalo and his wife, Nancy, of South Carolina; granddaughters, Katrina Cefalo and Andrea Cefalo and her husband, Ken Morrill; great-granddaughter, Lydia Cefalo-Forest; a sister, Carol Shiloh of New York; many nieces, nephews and cousins; and a special brother-in-law and hunting buddy, James Blake of Connecticut.
