Vehicle hits gas pump at Bangor Circle K on Broadway

BANGOR, Maine — Someone driving on Broadway went off the road and hit a gas pump at the Circle K convenience store, located near Interstate 95, Bangor police Sgt. Paul Edwards said Monday.

The crash was reported at 8:33 a.m., the sergeant said.

“The fire department was looking to notify the DEP because of a slight gas leak,” Edwards said.

A picture of the crash, posted on Facebook, shows a dark colored car and the gas pump knocked over on the ground in front of it.

The crash was covered by a first alarm assignment that included, E-1, E-6, L-1, R-1, R-6 & FC-1. The driver was transported to the hospital
