Woman burned in Bangor fire

BANGOR, Maine — An elderly woman was taken to the hospital on Friday afternoon in connection with a fire on Outer Broadway, according to a press release from the Bangor Police Department.
According to Sgt. Paul Edwards, the Bangor Police Department received a call regarding a fire at about 4 p.m. An elderly female ended up being taken to the hospital with severe burns on her upper body, he said. The woman remains hospitalized.
The fire reportedly occurred in the 1600 area of Outer Broadway and was out by the time crews from the Bangor Fire Department arrived.
