Fire in Bangor Apartment Building

by WABI-TV5 News Desk

Bangor - For the second time in two weeks, an apartment house has caught fire in downtown Bangor.
Friday morning's call for help came in just before 4am.
The two-story apartment building is located on Highland Avenue.
Residents were inside at the time, everyone managed to get out safely.
Fire crews from all three of Bangor's fire stations reported to the scene.
"From the three windows you see on the front side of the building. We did have fire showing on the inside on all three of those windows," Said Bangor Fire's Assistant Chief, Darrell Cyr.
Fire fighters managed to knock the fire down in about an hour.
The flames were contained to a second floor apartment.
Fire fighters believe the blaze may have started in the front room of that apartment.
The Fire Marshal's office has been called in to investigate.
