Bangor Fire Department emergency medical personnel transport Rath Em, 62, of Portland to an ambulance after she was struck by a car at about 5 p.m. Tuesday while crossing Main Street at the crosswalk that runs between Hollywood Slots Hotel & Raceway and the offices of the Bangor Daily News. Though few details about the accident were available late Tuesday, Bangor police Lt. Jeff Millard said speed was not a factor in the accident.
